Special Holy Week Services

Please join us in worship as we celebrate Holy Week with the following Special Services.

Celebration of Palm Sunday |  Sunday, April 1
Children are invited to join waving and distributing of palms in the procession that begins all our worship services in honor of Jesus.  Worship times are at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the main sanctuary for traditional worship, and 10:45 a.m. in the Family Life Center for the Praise Service.  The adult choir will be singing at the 10:30 service and the Kindergarten-Preschool children of Concordia Christian Day School will be singing at 10:45 a.m.

Maundy Thursday Worship | Thursday, April 5
Join us at 6:30 p.m. as we recall the night on which Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper and went to the Garden of Gethsemane. We will worship together as one service in the Main Sanctuary. Communion will be served at the altar rail.

Good Friday Services |  Friday, April 6
Join us either for an 11:00 a.m. mid-day Good Friday Service or a 6:30 p.m. evening service.  The mid-day service will be held in the chapel of the main sanctuary and will focus on Jesus’ words from the Cross.  Meditative Hymns will follow each reading.   The 6:30 p.m. “Tenebrae- Service of Darkness” that will feature choir and special music in will be held in the Family Life Center of the School.  The service, which begins well lit, will grow darker throughout the service ending in a moment of complete darkness as the final “Christ Candle” is removed, to be re-lit Easter morning.

Easter Sunrise Outdoor-Indoor Worship Service  |  Sunday April 8
Participate in a 7:00 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service that begins outside on the Church Patio in front of the main sanctuary doors.  Following the Easter Gospel Reading and the announcement of Christ’s resurrection, the Easter Candle is lit and the Congregation joins in singing “Jesus Christ is Risen Today!” as they enter the sanctuary to organ and trumpet.  The service is followed by an Easter Breakfast provided by our Boy Scout Troop 383.

Easter Festival Worship with the Unifour Brass Quintet  | Sunday, April 8
Join in singing and praising our Lord on the celebration of His resurrection at the 10:30 a.m. Festival Service.  The organ and brass quintet lead us in singing “Jesus Christ is Risen Today!” and many other traditional Easter Hymns.   The hand bell and adult choirs will also lead in worship and music.  The service will be held in and main sanctuary.  The community is invited to the Easter Breakfast provided by our Boy Scout Troop 383 that precedes the service from 8:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. in the school cafeteria.

Easter Praise Contemporary Worship | Sunday, April 8
Join in singing and praising our Lord on the celebration of His resurrection at the 10:45 a.m. Christian Contemporary Service.  The Praise Choir joins with keyboard, drums, guitars to lead the congregation in singing.  The worship platform will be set up in dramatic fashion that helps tell the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection.   The community is invited to the Easter Breakfast provided by our Boy Scout Troop 383 that precedes the service from 8:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
