Annoucement of New Staff Position
Dear Members and Friends,
We rejoice and give thanks to God for answering our prayer and providing us a candidate to serve as Minister of Business Administration.
It was a unanimous decision by the interview committee to offer the position to Leslie Brown, and in seeking God’s will, Leslie has graciously been led to accept this position. Leslie comes with over 25 years of experience working in the area of finance and plant operations at Ethan Allen in Maiden.
At Concordia she will be responsible for accounting, financial planning and budgeting for both the church and the school. She will also serve to direct general business, property and contracts, and maintain the personnel files and benefits of all workers. Above all, as part of our ministry staff, she is called to serve her Lord, and his people at Concordia and in our community.
As we welcome Leslie, we also join in grateful thanksgiving to God for the faithfulness of Martha Houston, who has served in the position of office manager for nearly 25 years. Martha officially retired at the end of January, but has been kind enough to continue to serve on a contract basis until the new position was filled.
At this time, we anticipate that Leslie will officially start her work on April 16th. There will be two weeks of transition with Martha’s final day of contract work being April 30th.
Concordia should certainly also extend gratitude for the team of David Isenhower, Danny Long and Jim Rice who researched and wrote the new position description for the Minister of Business Administration. We also thank the search and interview team made up of: Joyce Spencer, Peggy Travis, Nita Hunsucker, Wanda Hefner, Stine Isenhower, Jerome Bolick, Gary Matthews and Sonny Roseman.
We rejoice in God’s blessings of the past, and also his future for Concordia as we join together in Connecting People to Christ, with Hearts and Hands and Voices.
Yours in Christ,
A. Mark Schudde, Senior Pastor
Jim Rice, Congregation President
