Music Ministry
For over 140 years, the people of Concordia Lutheran have worshipped God through music. Presently, we offer a Sanctuary Choir, Hand Bell Choir, and Praise Team for people to participate in and we gladly welcome new members to all groups.
Membership in the choirs is open to all individuals who enjoy music, and are able to make the time commitment necessary to attend rehearsals and worship services. Accordingly, the Concordia Music Ministry strives to offer training and performance opportunities of the highest possible caliber in a supportive and joyful environment.
Sanctuary Choir
We present a variety of Anthems and Hymn Arrangements during our choir season which runs from the middle of August until Trinity Sunday. Leads worship at the traditional 11:00 a.m. service in the sanctuary September through May, as well as special services through the year. We also join with the musicians from the praise group to sing for Homecoming in September, a Service of Lessons and Carols in December, and other celebrations in the life of Concordia congregation. Rehearsals are on Wednesday from 7:15-8:15 p.m. in the Choir Room. All singers are welcome.
Hand Bell Choir
Helps enhance worship services monthly and plays at festival services and special occasions throughout the year. We ring 5 octaves of Malmark bells and 5 octaves of Malmark hand chimes. This group also travels to hand bell conventions and conferences across the state, and rings at nursing homes in the Conover area. Rehearsals are on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Hand Bells Room.
Praise Team
Leads worship at our 9:30 a.m. Contemporary service in the Family Life Center. We can utilize people of all ages and ability levels to play instruments and sing. Rehearsals are Wednesdays 8:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center Gymnasium. Please contact Kyle McClure if you are interested in participating.

If you are gifted with singing or playing an instrument - SHARE IT! We always welcome and are glad to have people volunteer to share their musical talents. Please contact Kyle McClure to schedule a meeting for sharing your talents.
